Diwali is characterized as a festival with firecrackers popping, fireworks exploding all over the city (including the related fireworks injury reports in this morning's paper), Diyas and temples lit with lights.
Along with firecrackers, Diwali is marked by flowers. Here's one in the lobby designed in marigolds, roses and jasmine.
